Dancing with the Stars season four and five champ Julianne Hough is set for surgery after a gutsy performance on this week’s show.
It’s really not that serious, but still, her stint on the competition is over, for at least two weeks…or maybe only one.
Interesting is how insiders are describing how producers will handle the latest casualty of the hit show’s season. Hough performed this week and was in clear pain, but ever the professional, she still gave a show!
As of October 29, the Dancing with the Stars star dancer was off, diagnosed with endometriosis and is also scheduled to have an appendectomy today.
Most of the time, endometriosis is found on the uterus, but as is the health issue with Hough, two to five percent of the cases are located in the appendix.
Hough and Cody Linley are still in the running for the Dancing with the Stars disco ball trophy, only time will tell if a Hough will raise the trophy yet again.
Julianne’s brother, Derek, is also still competing with his partner Brooke Burke, who too suffered an injury recently – a bruised right foot while her partner suffered a concussion on October 4.
Dancing with the Stars has already lost Misty May-Treanor to a Archilles tendon rupture. If Julianne is able, she hopes to return to the dance floor this upcoming week. If not, look for her to be replaced by Edyta Sliwinska.
