Michelle Obama appears on Jay Leno

Michelle Obama visited The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and when prompted, proudly said her outfit was from J. Crew.

Not wanting to comment specifically on the controversy over the Republican National Committee spending over $150,000 on clothes for vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, Obama simply stated what she was wearing when asked by Leno.

“Actually, this is a J. Crew ensemble,” Obama said. “You can get some good stuff online,” she told Jay.

Michelle Obama did tell Leno that she and her husband Barack truly understand what Palin is going through. “It is like being shot out of a cannon,” she says. “All of a sudden you’re at the center of attention, and you want to look good.”

Who doesn’t? “You’re living in your home, minding your business, and all of a sudden you’re on the national stage and everyone’s watching.”

Michelle also told Leno that her and Barack will not miss their anniversary even though th presidential election is in its final days. The potential first lady dropped by The Tonight Show to remind viewers about her husband’s television special airing tonight.

Apparently, as most young kids can agree, Obama’s daughters was upset over her father’s 30-minute primetime television special on October 29 because it might interrupt their favorite shows.

When they found out daddy didn’t buy time on the Disney Channel, all was sound in the Obama household once again.
