Coldplay scored a huge hit with their first single from their latest CD, but they also did much more. Viva la Vida transcended music, culture, genres and politics to be embraced by a world split by war and eager to turn a corner into hope.
8. Leona Lewis, Bleeding Love
Sure, the subject matter of Bleeding Love is deeply emotional and one does not immediately think fearless fun! But, you have to admit, have you ever heard this track out with friends, where you did not witness a group of females (maybe yourself!) bursting into Lewis’ compelling chorus as if their life depended on it. If there was a true heart-breaking fearless female track of 2008, Leona Lewis nailed it.
