Grammy Award nominations were announced as the music industry awarded its best and brightest for 2008.
There were few surprises in this year’s Grammy nominations, yet one surprise did surface. M.I.A. scored a nomination for Record of the Year for their impeccable Paper Planes. Other nominees in that category include Adele, Coldplay, Lenoa Lewis and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.
Radiohead also scored a few nods and the hip hop giants were all well represented. Lil Wayne and Ne Yo are both nominated for Album of the Year.
