Jennifer Lopez’s marriage is at its breaking point, according to sources close to Lopez and husband Marc Anthony. Recent ringless pictures prove it!
Lopez recently appeared at the premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button looking absolutely amazing, especially for a woman who gave birth to twins less than a year ago. But two very important accessories were noticeably absent from her ensemble: her wedding ring and her husband.
Anthony was seen prowling around Las Vegas a week earlier sans ring as well.
“They both didn’t wear their rings on purpose,” a pal of the couple says. “Nothing Jennifer does is without purpose.”
While Anthony’s rep insists “They are doing great,” friends say nothing could be further from the truth. “He’s very, very controlling of her,” said one. “She walks in from work, washes her hands and grabs the babies,” said another. “With him, it’s almost like, ‘Ugh, they’re crying again?'”
Lopez also allegedly hates how mediocre her career has become. While her 2002 flick Maid in Manhattan pulled in over $94 million, her last, made with Anthony, only grossed $7.5 million. Lopez is also blaming Anthony for stalling her career.
“Jennifer looked around and said, ‘This is my life now? I’m a Long Island housewife?'” a pal says. “She hates that everything she worked for went down the tubes.”
It is sad for a couple that just renewed their wedding vows in a private October Las Vegas ceremony. Anthony had a lavish vow renewal ceremony in Puerto Rico with his first wife and left her soon thereafter. We think that is rather meaningless.
And the couple was spotted leaving dinner together holding hands on Tuesday, but Jennifer pulled the same stunt with after they called off their wedding.
So is the marriage in the dumps, or is it a quick bid for publicity?
