Oprah visits 30 Rock with Tina Fey and CBS debuts a new game show tonight, Million Dollar Password.
“Never judge a pizza by its toppings.”
Yesterday I talked with Food Network’s Guy Fieri and boy is he a hoot! He was talking to us on his cell phone while sitting in his truck outside his house because the camera crew that was there filming Chefography kicked him out. They wanted to interview his family and they said Fieri was talking too loud. I don’t think he knows how to be anything but loud — in an ‘I’m so excited, I could burst’ way. He talked about his new show Ultimate Recipe Showdown and about cooking in general and I’ll have it all for you next week right here on SheKnows.com
In honor of Guy, I cooked a new recipe last night — Rachael Ray’s Stuffed Cabbage Stoup — and I watched nothing but reality TV.
First up was the finale of Stylista. Johanna won but she was put through the ringer first when she got saddled with Kate and newly fired Megan as her challenge assistants. Megan had a meltdown of the kind I’ve always expected to see on shows like this. She had only been eliminated for two hours when they told her she had to go back to the house to help someone else win. She walked out. Told the producers she’d had it and snapped at the cameramen to get out of her face. Off go the cameras and Megan returns because she’s not the kind of person who would leave a friend out in the cold like that. Yeah, right. Megan returned because the producers showed her a contract that said you’re here until the end or we’ll sue you.
Top Chef had it’s own share of drama when a refrigerator was left open over night. Duck and pork ribs ended up in the trash leaving two chefs with nothing to offer up to a room full of 300 guests. After the initial panic, all of the chefs chipped in to help their fallen comrades but I bet they wish they hadn’t. Both chefs ended up in the top four and one won the challenge.
Tonight, it’s slim pickins, so I suggest you pull out those TV on DVD box sets that you’ve been meaning to watch. Second season of Gilmore Girls, anyone?
