Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson spent their holidays arguing fiercely and are all but split.
The week before Christmas, Sam spent the night in the hospital suffering from what she said was “exhaustion” after rowing with Lohan all night and half the next day.
Lohan and Ronson patched things up in time to fly to Miami for New Years, where Sam had several DJ gigs booked. The trouble started on Tuesday at Set. “Both their families were there, and Lindsay and Sam just started going at it,” a spy says.
But New Years Eve truly may have been their breaking point. Sam was spinning at Mansion, while witnesses say Lohan alternately slumped in the booth, petulantly texting, or stalking up to Sam demanding to know why she wasn’t paying attention to her girlfriend. Even Nik Ritchie of The Dirty unintentionally became fuel for the fire, when Lindsay became jealous of his presence in the DJ booth.
“When I started talking to Sam, Lindsay came up and started yelling at me ‘That’s my girlfriend. I love her!’ and thought I was trying to steal her woman,” he wrote on the blog.
Ritchie said that although she did not see Lohan drinking, she appeared to be on something, in his opinion. When he told Linds to chill, she flipped and yelled at security to get Sam out of there — despite the fact that Sam was supposed to spin for another couple of hours.
Lindsay stormed off with some guy, and Sam left shortly thereafter, leaving the DJ booth to be manned by someone else.
But Lohan was not gone — Lindsay was merely waiting outside to continue the fight.
Sources say the argument spilled into an alley behind the club, where Lohan was heard screaming, “When I storm off, you are supposed to follow me!”
The source says, “It was a really gross alley. There was a bum eating a sandwich watching the whole thing. Lindsay was really unstable and flipping out.”
The couple retreated to their hotel, where the argument turned into an all-out brawl. “They were punching each other. It was bad,” a spy says. “And they were doing this in front of all of us. It was scary.”
The room was trashed. “Mirrors were broken and it was a complete mess,” says the source.
But when caught on the streets of LA yesterday by some paps and asked if there was “trouble in paradise,” Lindsay responded, “Not exactly.”
