Britney Spears legal team takes hit from Sam Lufti

Britney Spears’ restraining order against Sam Lufti is not sitting quietly with Lufti. Sam is fighting back against the restraining order filed by the legal team of Britney Spears, insisting he is no threat to the singer’s safety.

Britney’s father and conservator Jamie Spears filed the restraining order against former manager Lufti and Britney’s ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib in January. Jamie is alleging the pair and a lawyer “are now working in concert to disrupt the conservatorship with utter disregard for Ms. Spears’ health and well being.”

But Lufti says Britney is the one contacting him — even though the restraining order specifically forbids any contact.

“I don’t think anyone would want to have on public record allegations of behavior that weren’t committed,” says Lutfi’s lawyer Bryan Freedman. “A restraining order to is protect someone against stalkers and people who want to commit violence, and that description doesn’t fit my client.”

Lufti admits sending messaged to Britney via her hairdresser and others close to her, but denies those messages were harmful.

“I have not, in any alleged communications with Britney, her hairdresser or any other person, threatened any act of violence against Britney or her family,” he states in court papers filed last week.

Luftis’ lawyers also contend that Jamie Spears has not presented any evidence that he caused any emotional distress to Britney through his indirect contact, and is suing the Spears family for defamation and battery.
