Britney Spears has an ex problem. Adnan Ghalib, the paparazzi ex-boyfriend of hers, has been charged with three felonies after running over a process server.
The LA District Attorney filed the charges against Adnan Ghalib after the slimy married guy — against whom Britney’s camp has a restraining order — allegedly hit a process server with his car in an alley on February 11. The man was attempting to serve Ghalib with papers pertaining to the Britney mess.
The process server barely escaped with his life — he had to jump onto the hood of Ghalib’s car to escape being mowed down and pinned against a garbage truck, and suffered a broken wrist, cuts and bruises.
Ghalib is being charged with hit and run, battery, and assault with a deadly weapon — all felonies in the state of California.
Prosecutors are asking for $110,000 bail. If convicted, Ghalib could spend seven years in jail — quite an effective way to keep him away from Britney and her money.
In the papers included with the restraining order filing, the Spears camp claims Ghalib is still trying to worm his way into Britney’s business. “Ms. Spears innocently informs Mr. Ghalib of her destinations and that he then arranges for paparazzi to meet and film her to his financial benefit.”
Jamie Spears has also claimed that Ghalib and Sam Lufti, Britney’s former manager, got a prepaid cell phone into Britney’s hands and were contacting her on it — a big no-no during a time when Britney’s family are trying to keep her business and sanity closely regulated.
