Anyway, we can’t believe Katie Holmes gave birth to Suri Cruise two years ago!
In this April’s 70th anniversary issue of Glamour, Katie dishes about motherhood: “has been the most amazing experience – in an instant you become strong. You have to be a little bit wiser; it’s the most important job in the world.”
The thirty year-old Katie Holmes had to instantly be a little wiser; Tom Cruise is sixteen years her senior! In fact, Holmes mentions the first couple of days after Suri was born, she and Tom slept next to her to make sure she was breathing. “I was constantly learning on the job, but Tom was very helpful and supportive.”
Katie Holmes also addresses rumors in the article. There always seem to be rumors about A-list celebs and the Cruise connection was no exception. Some people thought Suri didn’t even exist, to which Katie Holmes responds some of the things people said were “absolutely horrible.” The huge magnifying glass better known as the press was a bit new to Holmes although her hubby, Tom Cruise, was used to it.
It has made her stronger, however. Katie Holmes said she’s tougher and more self-reliant. “I definitely felt like – as a woman, as the mother of Suri – I want to handle this! My mom is very strong, and if anyone ever said anything about any of us, she would be, ‘Excuse’ me? That’s my family!”
Right now the family will remain a party of three as Katie Holmes says, “I’m not pregnant right now.” The April issue of Glamour goes on stands March 10.
