Lady Gaga and Joel Madden’s arresting appearance

Tattooed and leather-wearing celebrities on both sides of the pond seem all the norm and Joel Madden and Lady Gaga are perfect examples. So what is the big deal?

Regardless of his heavily inked and colorful arms, Joel Madden, beau of Nicole Richie and father to Harlow, is mainly known for his singing prowess with bro Benji Madden in their band, Good Charlotte.

Well, on a recent flight from London to Lisbon, British Airways gave Joel some flack regarding his tats. They basically told him to cover up or stay in London. Shocked, he was told he had to put on long sleeves to cover up his arms. Here’s the dealio and how it made headlines: Joel twittered about it.

Here’s his reaction on Good Charlotte’s website:

“Wow. I really didn’t not intend for me twittering about my BritAir tattoo incident to get so much attention. At the end of the day who really cares if i make my flight or not? I was mostly laughing about it as i thought most of the people who follow me on twitter would too. A few of the other BA employees were just as surprised as i was. But it was their manager and for some reason i could not file a complaint there. They gave me a little card to fill out.”

Interestingly enough, he’s not the only celebrity who encountered rough appearance terrain lately. Lady Gaga, known for her song, Let’s Dance, was in Russia and was almost arrested! She tweeted that she wore leather at St. Basil’s and apparently everything turned out okay. She tweets: “They tried to arrest me in Russia, for leather at St. Basil’s. But all is calm in the red square, as I leave the east Paris-bound.”

Looks like Joel Madden and Lady Gaga will breathe a sigh of relief once they return home and can pretty much be themselves!
