Real Housewives of New York star cleared

As a New Yorker, it is hard not to watch the Real Housewives of New York. I wanted to not like the New York Housewives. I wanted to see how ridiculously faux it was in terms of realistic New York City living.

Somehow, The Real Housewives of New York City slowly impressed. The Housewives characters — one by one — showed their gritty New Yorkerness side amidst all the glam and their monster Hamptons homes. So you can guess what happened next: I was hooked!

There are certain sides to the cast we may not know from the Bravo smash. You may have heard of the cast member, model Kelly Killoren Bensimon. Well, Bensimon was accused of punching her ex-boyfriend. Nicholas Stefanov. The boyfriend says he experienced a black eye, busted lip and bloodied cheek after Kelly hit him in her New York City apartment.

The misdemeanor assault charge will reportedly be dropped if Kelly remains in good standing for an entire year, even though she admitted to the assault.

She also must perform two days of community service. Even though the Real Housewives of New York City finale has already aired, one can say their off-screen characters loom larger than life.

While some may be Team Bethenny, one can also root for Kelly to remain in good standing.

As for the spin-off, Real Housewives of New Jersey, it’ll be interesting to see what plot points and characters emerge as the reality hit hits the Jersey suburbs. This native Jersey girl will be watching what is going on across the river.
