Miss California emails revealed

Miss California officials have released emails from Carrie Prejean backing up claims she was uncooperative and unwilling to perform her duties as contracted.

The emails were released to Fox News after Prejean’s lawyer dismissed Trump’s reasons for firing her.

“…The claim that she is refusing to appear is false. Carrie has been in constant contact with pageant officials seeking to fulfill her obligations,” says attorney Charles LiMandri.

“I have emails in my possession tied to the pageant organization as recently as last Friday citing future appearance requests for Carrie. She represented the pageant in Las Vegas the weekend before last, and is scheduled to appear at a Special Olympics event this weekend in California, a cause dear to her heart.” But the emails released by pageant peeps paint a very unflattering — and dare we say, ugly — picture of the beauty queen. Here are the email messages, in chronological order, exactly as they appeared:

Carrie,
The Style Network has asked to schedule a general meeting. Generals in the entertainment field are an opportunity for casting and producing executives to gain a better understanding of a potential talents range and demeanor in order to consider them for future projects. They are done without a specific agenda. I have had great success with my actors who have taken generals and would suggest you give it strong consideration. You never know where it may lead and sometimes they develop entire shows around you. The following days are available to meet with them here in LA. Please let me know as soon as possible if any of them work for you.
Best regards,
Keith Lewis

Carrie,
Although I do not agree with your directive nor is this letter an indication of our intent to waive our contract rights, we do not want to escalate the situation with you. In good faith, we will simply ask that you provide us all of the details so that we can block it in on our master calendar. We would also want to get the contact information should something come up – like you become missing after the event or you are in an accident before the event and need us to reach out for you. It is for your safety and our responsibility.
Best regards,
Keith Lewis

Losing the crown

While tone cannot be taken for granted while reading emails, it seems obvious that Lewis, the executive director of Miss California USA, maintained a professional demeanor at all times, while Prejean’s Blackberry suffered through one long hissy fit.

And lest you think Prejean was merely annoyed by undue pressure the organization has been putting on her, rest assured that she’s just always been this way. This isn’t the first time Prejean has been fired. Her modeling agency, Visions Model Management Los Angeles, dropped Carrie from her contract last year because the blond was “problematic.” “It gets a little sticky, and there are so many things that I would rather not discuss — but there are certain specifications that we have…and she was not keeping her commitment,” says agent Francine Champagne. “I just felt like she was a little nutty, and I’d rather not represent someone with that mindframe. I just think she is a problem, and I did not feel that she was of the utmost professionalism. She did not follow through on her side of the bargain, so we decided to cut our losses and let her go.” “She’s definitely a handful, she needs a lot of attention, she is a little bit bossy, her mother gets involved whereas she’s an adult, and she doesn’t need her mom to be calling us. At this point in time, we’re a professional agency that deals with professionals. If they are under 18, absolutely, we deal with the parents, but once they’re 18 or over, we should be dealing directly with talent, not with their parents,” Champagne adds.

“She definitely had the potential to work well — she’s a very beautiful girl — but her personality and her uptightness gets in the way. It’s definitely a personality conflict with this business and her. She will not really [do] well in this industry because she is too controlling and uptight and bossy. There are a lot of issues with her, and she’s not really an easy person to get along with,” Champagne concludes.

Is this the last we’ll hear of Prejean? Perhaps we’ll catch her hosting a Bikini Babes 4 Jesus fundraiser for the National Organization for Marriage on Trinity Broadcasting Network one of these days.
