Hell’s Kitchen premieres

Gordon Ramsey returns to Hell’s Kitchen while the boys were back on The Bachelorette.

The Bachelorette guys mostly
confirmed the fact that Jillian is better off without them. The evening was filled with boyish banter and clips that were cut from the show for good reason. Think any of these guys could be next
year’s Bachelor?

Moving to high drama of the sci fi kind, I spent most of my night watching Day One of the new Torchwood mini-series. It’s funny how you can spend millions of dollars making an
animatronic monster, who just have a bunch of kids chant in unison — equally as scary. Captain Jack Harkness and the gang are ready to put down the latest alien threat but first they have to
survive a hit organized by their own government. It’s all part of a huge cover-up to keep the world from finding out about…well…that’s the question. We know it has something to do with orphan
children delivered to an alien ship back in the sixties, but knowing Torchwood, there’s bound to be another level of nefarious. We’ll learn more tonight, as Day Two airs on BBC America.

Tonight’s TV picks:

Hell’s Kitchen

It’s the sixth season premiere of Hell’s Kitchen and this time the 16 contestants are vying for a spot as
the Head Chef Position at Araxi Restaurant in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. As usual, the chefs will be asked to complete their signature dish for their first challenge but it will be the
guys against the girls with a great prize for the winning team.

Watch Hell’s Kitchen at 8:00 on Fox.

Ruby & the Rockits

David Cassidy stars as a fading rock idol who finds out that he’s the father of a teenage girl. Can Ruby teach David that there’s more to life than fame and fortune? I’m not so sure! It’s musical,
it’s fun and it’s full of Cassidys! It’s the premiere of Ruby & the Rockits.

Watch Ruby & the Rockits at 8:30 on ABC Family.

NYC Prep

Incredibly, it’s already the season finale for NYC Prep. Tonight, it’s all about the future as the kids think about college, Kelli pursues her singing career, Jessie looks to work with a
fashion designer and PC is bored. The press on this says that he’ll end up with his shirt off in front of cameras. You may want to make sure the children are out of the room before that happens.

Watch NYC Prep at 9:00 on Bravo.
