It’s the season finale of The Bachelorette and Jillian must decide between Kiptyn and Ed.
But before
Bachelorette Jillian settles down, I’m back from Comic
Con and I ache all over! Standing in lines was the order of the weekend and I swear I must have walked ten miles covering the San Diego Convention Center from one end to the other on numerous
occasions. But it was worth it. I got a sneak peek at some new shows such as V and Vampire Diaries. I got the inside scoop from the casts of Smallville and
Fringe, a Supernatural blooper reel and I finally got to see John Barrowman from Torchwood. He’s ever so charming and quite the handful!
Reality check-up
After an entire weekend of nothing but TV and TV stars, the first thing I did when I got home was turn on the TV! Thanks to my DVR I got to catch up on my favorite reality competition shows. First
was The Next Food NetworkStar where the final three, Debbie,
Melissa and Jeffrey all had to prepare the three-course meal of their lives for the ultimate panel of celebrity chefs. They all had some hits and misses, Debbie was bubbly and she served up her
usual mix of Korean and Southern cooking. The judges liked her personality but felt she was missing something with her food. Melissa wowed the judges with two kinds of pastry and they loved her
basic, home cook attitude. Jeffrey came off like a pro in his presentation but he got called on the carpet for cutting corners and bad risotto! In the end, Debbie was eliminated leaving Jeffrey and
Melissa to move into the finale next week.
I also tuned in to Design Star where they had to deal with the dreaded kitchen remodel. For what was probably the first time in the show’s history, one team actually finished their job
down to the details. Amy’s group — not so much. They made the usual fatal mistake of attempting to tile the backsplash and they didn’t align the cabinets properly so the marble countertops had
gaps between them. I think I like the kitchen better before they messed with it. Team leader Amy was sent home.
