Disney’s Earth DVD and Blu-ray forge family fun

Earth, the debut feature from Disney Nature arrives on DVD and Blu-ray September 1. SheKnows has your inside look at the film that has astounded critics and audiences alike.

Earth is the story of three particular sets of animals as they struggle to survive. With a landscape of the world’s most
breathtaking scenery, Earth is not only a fantastic film, it is an opportunity to take the messages of the film steps further with your kids.

Earth: summary

First, a mother polar bear in the Arctic is trailed by her two cubs as she searches for food. Their normal hunting grounds have melted.

Second, in Africa, a herd of African elephants makes its way across the scorched Kalahari Desert in an effort to reach the water-rich Okavango Delta. The third of Earth’s trio of
tales is about a humpback whale and her calf and their incredible 4,000-mile trek from the Earth’s tropical waters to the frozen tundra of Antarctica.

Earth on the big screen was a marvel, yet watching it on DVD or Blu-ray truly showcases the priceless high-definition footage that award-winning filmmakers Alastair Fothergill (The
Blue Planet
) and Mark Linfield (Planet Earth) captures with their film.
