Stars walked the red carpet at the 2010 Golden Globes in the rain, but that certainly didn’t dampen their fashion choices.
Standouts include Avatar star Zoe Saldana and the upcoming When in Rome star Kristen Bell. As usual, our favorite female celebs donned glittering gowns borrowed from many a designer — but only some stars shined in their duds.
Let’s take a look at the best and worst dressed of the bunch!
Best dressed:
Samantha Harris positively glowed in this plunging orange ruffled gown by Ina Soltani. Zoe Saldana stuns in this gorgeous layered ruffly Louis Vuitton gown (at right).
It’s fun, age appropriate and elegant all at once.
Courteney Cox looked anything but boring in black. Her curve-hugging, floor-sweeping double crepe gown with a glittery embroidered belt was designed by Victoria Beckham!
Emily Blunt looked sweet and sexy at once in a strapless pink tulle and chiffon gown with ruffle detail by Dolce and Gabbana.
We just wish she spent as much time on her hair as she did choosing her outfit.
Kristen Bell kept it sleek and simple in a snowy white cocktail length Jasmine di Milo dress with a figure flattering knot detail at the waist.
Marion Cotillard is hands-down the best dressed of the evening. She rocked this deep forest green asymmetrical Christian Dior gown with Jimmy Choo heels and diamond Chopard jewelry.
Worst dressed:
Sofia Vergara wore a boring, ill-fitting Carolina Herrera dress that aged her 15 years. This beautiful young actress would have done better with a more age-appropriate designer like Versace or Dolce & Gabbana.
Jennifer Morrison was a mess of runny tummy yellow ruffles in this Luis Antonio gown. Blame it on Morrison’s husband — he bought it for her for Christmas.
Diane Kruger, we really like you but there is absolutely no excuse for this monstrosity of a dress. Christian Lacroix has seen better days.
Julianne Moore is one of the most gorgeous women in Hollywood.
Why is she hiding her hotness underneath a shapeless sack of a dress? It’s so bad Moore didn’t even bother to tell red carpet reporters the name of the designer.
Chloe Sevigny channeled her mother’s ’70’s prom dress in a lilac ruffled Valentino gown.
The fashions gods got their due when a presenter stepped on the thing and ripped it as Chloe accepted her award!
