As much as we love the girls, the romance and the men of Sex and the City, half the fun will always be the fabulous clothes.
Designer Patricia Field, who’s overseen all of Sex and the City’s wardrobe since the show began its HBO run, is so out of control fierce, her taste and style so insanely on point, sometimes looking at her ensembles can be like staring directly into the sun — it’s so divine, it hurts!
From the woman who brought nameplate necklaces to Madison Avenue, Sex and the City 2 promises to deliver all the jaw-dropping fashion one film can hold. Here are a few sneak peeks of a few of our favorite looks.
always looking forward
Nobody lunches like these ladies lunch. One of Field’s talents is her ability to keep each woman distinct and bold in her own way. This is a perfect example of each Sex-y lady’s style — Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) in a drapey but elegant, mustard toned, from-the-office-to-happy-hour shift, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) rocking the oh-so-current statement necklace and Louboutins, Samantha (Kim Cattrall) giving just enough peek-a-boo action to be sexy but still tasteful (and wearing Patricia Field’s Polly Heels in white, which we also own but in black, gold and three-tone), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis), ever classy in a confection sweet pink, retro-inspired, mid-knee day dress that would make Jackie O proud.
Up next…Miranda shows off a little!
