Summit Entertainment announced this week that fans will be waiting a year to see Edward Cullen and Bella Swan have the romantic happily-ever-after ending that they’re hungering for in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. There will be a yearlong wait between Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Breaking Dawn Part 2 starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
Staying true to Stephenie Meyer’s fourth book, Breaking Dawn, the movie will be split into two parts. Breaking Dawn Part 1 is coming out on November 18, 2011, and Breaking Dawn Part 2 hits the theaters on November 16, 2012. Dreamgirls‘ director Bill Condon will be directing both.
Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart will star again in Breaking Dawn. Hot debate surrounds the movie version of Breaking Dawn about where the two movies will be divided, as well as how much of the graphic material in the book Breaking Dawn will make it to the big screen. After all, this series is aimed at teens.
Millions of people have read Meyer’s Twilight books about vampire romance and just as many have seen the Twilight movies.
Since its release five weeks ago, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has made over 288 million dollars. Breaking Dawn Part 2 may be released in 3-D but that’s not been confirmed yet. Fans are certain to be excited about the final chapter in this captivating series.
