2) Hellcats
This is a heads up for all you fans of the Bring it On! and Step Up movie franchises, not to mention closet CW fans: Two Disney graduates are headed to college and you may want to follow! Hot coed Marti (Alyson Michalka) is a tough girl from the wrong side of the tracks who dreams of law school and snickers at the cheerleaders.
Then she learns that moving into Cheertown is the only way to keep her college scholarship, so she calls on her old gymnastics skills to land a spot on the Hellcats squad. Bubbly cheer captain Savannah (Ashley Tisdale) balks at letting the wildcard in, but she has to admit, her squad needs Marti just as much as she needs them. While there’s sure to be tons of cat-fights and love triangles, these girls are also dealing with real issues, like moms with drinking problems and families that disown them.
Hellcats airs Wednesday nights starting September 8 at 9 pm.
