Celebrity cancer survivors Stand Up To Cancer

Celebrities are often seen donating their time and resources to good causes and on September 10 they’re coming out to Stand Up To Cancer including some notable celebrity cancer survivors.

The Stand Up To Cancer telethon will involve many Hollywood stars, athletes, journalists and other newsmakers including cancer survivorsChristina Applegate, Lance Armstrong, Michael C Hall, Maura Tierney, Robin Roberts, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Fran Drescher, Ethan Zohn and Elizabeth Edwards.

Other celebrities expected to participate include Reese Witherspoon, Laura Linney, Seth Rogen, Sally Field, and Terrence Howard, with a collaborative musical performance by Stevie Wonder, Natasha Bedingfield, Queen Latifa, Martina McBride, Aaron Neville and Dave Stewart.

Stand Up To Cancer raises money to accelerate innovative cancer research in order to quickly bring new therapies to patients. The September 10 telethon event will be dedicated to the 12 million US cancer survivors.

Airing live and commercial free, Stand Up To Cancer will be broadcast for one hour beginning at 8 pm on September 10.

The event will be hosted by Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer and Brian Williams and will be broadcast on E!, The Style Network, G4, ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, HBO, Bio, Discovery Health, HBO Latino, MLB Network, mun2, Showtime, Smithsonian Channel, TV One and VH1.
