The buzz continues about Spencer Pratt threatening to sell his sex tapes with Heidi Montag, which include girl on girl action with Playboy Playmate Karissa Shannon. The Heidi Montag sex tape talk is mixed with speculation that “divorcing” Heidi and Spencer are actually cavorting together in Costa Rica.
With Vivid Entertainment on the case, the world could be in for more Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt than we ever wanted to see. Some of us hit that wall already, but Speidi continues to create juicy press that sells, proving many of us are still interested in this train wreck!
The story allegedly starts with Spencer approaching Vivid Entertainment, the company that released the Kendra Wilkinson and Kim Kardashian tapes, and revealing he has juicy footage of him and his ex having sex.
“I got a call from Spencer last week,” Vivid president Steven Hirsch told TMZ. “He said he was interested in exploring the possibility of doing something together. Love ’em or hate ’em, people certainly talk about them all the time, the two of them would be huge.”
Spencer Pratt allegedly claims to have not just one sex tape, but rather “a catalogue of videos” to sell and although he apparently asked for $5 million, he’s really doing this all for his ex.
“When I realized how much Kim [Kardashian] was making, my logic is this is the best thing I can do for my ex-wife,” he told TMZ. “Kim is on the cover of Allure right now. Heidi isn’t on the cover of Allure.”
Hirsch agreed the Heidi and Spencer sex tapes could be bigger than Kim Kardashian’s infamous sex tape, stressing that it’s about more than just money. Kardashian turned her scandalous tape into a career windfall — for her entire family! Paris Hilton made the most of her tape, as well.
Then Heidi spoke to several outlets, denying the whole thing.
“There is no sex tape that exists and there never was,” Heidi told People yesterday. “Spencer is trying to drum up press. This is exactly why I wanted to divorce him in the first place.”
In spite of this, TMZ posted another update hours later, revealing Heidi has asked Vivid’s president for sales projections for her tapes, as well as the real numbers for Kardashian’s infamous tape.
Somewhere along the way, it was also revealed that in addition to hot Speidi sex, there’s lesbian footage of Heidi and Playboy Playmate Karissa Shannon.
As the story continued to unfold, news broke that Spencer was using the sex tapes to blackmail Heidi. He apparently wanted her to either ditch divorce proceedings and do a reality show with him or turn their divorce into a reality show.
The thing is, the tapes can’t be legally released without her consent, so that doesn’t really compute.
Are Heidi and Spencer really divorcing?
With these two publicity whores in the mix, there have been questions about the validity of Heidi and Spencer’s break-up since it was announced. Amid this recent round of hullabaloo, the pair was spotted together in Costa Rica.
“I had to bring the puppies down and help them move in,” Pratt told People. “[Heidi] thought I was going to leave, but I’m not. I didn’t want to get divorced… I have nothing in Malibu, I’m homeless. I’m nothing without her.”
In spite of this explanation, the sighting has only fueled further speculation. Many continue to theorize the divorce is a publicity stunt and that the Heidi and Spencer sex tapes are yet another stunt, while Radar even questions whether or not it was even Heidi in the Costa Rica video.
At the same time, Heidi seems to be pointing the finger at Spencer, claiming he’s the one trying to drum up publicity.
Us Weekly just came out with news from an unnamed source. SheKnows is always cautious about this type of source, but for the record, this one confirms the couple is in fact together and that tapes do exist.
“This is all a PR stunt,” the source says. “They will never really sell unless they get desperate… It’s disgusting and vile, but Spencer will do anything to keep his fame, even tempting companies with [the sex tapes]. Whatever they do, though, will be together. He is doing nothing behind her back.”
Whether real or not, all this sex tape chatter now has Heidi and Spencer back where they always want to be — in the news lead of SheKnows!
