It’s a bittersweet revelation for John Travolta and Kelly Preston. Preston’s rep has confirmed to People the duo is expecting a son.
The blessed news will hopefully help in the healing process for Travolta and Preston. Back in January 2009, the couple horrifically lost their son Jett to a seizure. He was just 16 years old.
The surprised, yet elated parents, originally announced they were expecting in May 2010 via their personal websites. They responded by saying, “It’s impossible to keep a secret, especially one as wonderful as this.”
To celebrate the new chapter in John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s lives, close friends rejoiced with a baby shower. The intimate shower was held at Travolta and Preston’s Los Angeles home.
So what was the theme of the expecting couple’s baby shower? Guests who attended the outdoor festivities were reportedly treated to a bird’s nest theme. “It was a wonderful day,” shower co-host Keisha Whitaker gushed to People.
The new baby bird will be one lucky boy to have John Travolta and Kelly Preston doting over him. When the newest addition to the loving Travolta-Preston family makes his appearance he’ll join 10-year-old sister Ella Bleu.
