Zsa Zsa Gabor has been released from the hospital after a bout with the flu.
The actress and socialite was released a day after being found unresponsive in her home. She was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
This was Zsa Zsa’s third trip back to UCLA Medical Center since her hip replacement surgery in July, and the entertainment news world has been on a Zsa Zsa death vigil all summer — but the 93-year-old refuses to give up the ghost. Whether it’s battling for her health or for justice from the evil clutches of the Beverly Hills Police Department, Zsa Zsa won’t go down without a fight.
Throughout the summer there have been conflicting reports about her health — her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, has repeatedly exclaimed Zsa Zsa is on the brink of death, while her daughter, Constance Francesca Hilton, has maintained the actress is “going strong.”
Who to believe? The “Prince” actually bought his title by paying a real nobleman to adopt him as an adult. Constance was actually sued by her mother in 2005 for allegedly trying to steal millions of dollars in a real estate scheme.
The Prince and Constance are no fast friends. Von Anhalt said recently that he plans to renew the lawsuit, which was originally tossed when Zsa Zsa failed to appear in court or sign an affidavit.
“My focus now is to care for Zsa Zsa as best I can…but I plan on suing Francesca again,” von Anhalt said. “She is only after whatever money she thinks her mother has and I will fight to protect Zsa Zsa and won’t let that happen.”
For now, let’s hope Zsa Zsa remains oblivious to the family quarrel stewing around her.
