Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is expecting his eighth child with wife Lakiha Spicer.
A little over a year after the tragic death of his four-year-old daughter, Tyson and his third wife Kiki are expecting another child.
The 33-year-old Spicer (who was not the mother of the young girl) is reportedly five months along and pregnant with a boy.
Tyson and Spicer wed in a small Las Vegas ceremony less than two weeks after the horrifying accidental death.
When Tyson appeared on The View in May, he said that despite being “totally destitute and broke” he loves his life. “I have an awesome life. I have an awesome wife who cares about me,” he said. “I’m totally broke. I had a lot of fun. It just happened.”
He added, “I don’t deserve to have the wife that I have; I don’t deserve the kids that I have, but I do, and I’m very grateful.”
Tyson, 44, is already the father of seven children by several different women. This will be his second child with Spicer; they have a daughter named Milan.
Perhaps Tyson and Spicer are taking a page from the book of John Travolta and Kelly Preston — moving on from an unimaginable tragedy by bringing new life — and new hope — into the world.
