Glee keeps upping the ante week-after-week especially with their recent Grilled Cheesus and Britney Spears episodes. With one more episode before the cast takes on The Rocky Horror Picture Show, let’s see what Ryan Murphy has in store for us this week.
With last week’s episode, Grilled Cheesus, taking us on an emotional rollercoaster, it’s time for some good old-fashioned competition — Gleestyle. On this week’s episode, Duets, Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) challenges the members of New Directions to duet-offs. I’m not sure that’s even a word, but in Glee world it is.
The members of New Directions will pair off to take on each other in the ultimate Gleesmackdown.
Rumor has it Finn (Cory Monteith) and Rachel (Lea Michele) plan to cut newbie Sam (Chord Overstreet) some slack by throwing the competition, giving Sam a better chance at winning.
In the love game between Mike, Tina, Artie and Mike’s abs things start to really heat up. I’m loving Artie more since they’ve shown him as a football-playing battering ram.
The song selections being belted out on Glee: Duets aren’t that shocking. Finn and Rachel will take on Elton John and Kiki Dee’s Don’t Go Breaking My Heart while Mercedes and Santana team up in the Ike and Tina Turner classic River Deep-Mountain High.
Now, this is a duet that I’m really excited about. Kurt is reportedly dividing himself into two and singing Le Jazz Hot! Glee star Chris Colfer is on a roll and he just keeps getting better.
Sam is partnering with Quinn and I smell a romance on the horizon.
Duets airs tonight on Fox at 8 p.m. Check back next week when we preview the highly anticipated The Rocky Horror Picture Show episode.
