Eminem said he was a target for bullies at school, revealing he was beaten up in hallways and shoved into lockers.
Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, told 60 Minutes that he was a target for bullies because he changed schools so much.
“I would change schools two, three times a year and that was probably the roughest part,” Eminem said. “I got beat up in the bathroom, beat up in the hallways, shoved in the lockers, just, for the most part, being the new kid.”
Eminem blames his father
Eminem’s father abandoned him when he was just a baby, something he can’t imagine doing to his 14-year-old daughter Hailie or his two adopted girls, Alaina and Whitney.
“I can’t understand how he could leave us. If my kids moved to the edge of the earth, I’d find them. No doubt in my mind. No money, no nothing — if I had nothing I’d find my kids. So there’s no excuse,” Eminem said.
Eminem says he doesn’t think he wants to meet his father. “I never knew him, never met him, never knew him. I don’t know if I want to see him. Some people ask me that, and I don’t think I do.”
