After news of Leslie Nielsen’s death broke, celebrities lit up Twitter to pay tribute to the man who made the Naked Gun’s Frank Drebin a character for the ages. Many posted Airplane! quotes including Nielsen’s iconic line: “I am serious…and don’t call me Shirley.”
No matter how they tweeted Nielsen’s classic movie lines, the respect for this man was evident.
Comedian Russell Brand took a moment to tweet, “RIP. Leslie Nielsen.
