Clint Eastwood and Beyonce team up for A Star is Born

Clint Eastwood will soon have his hands full directing Beyonce in a remake of A Star is Born.

It’s a match made in some sort of weird movie heaven, but a Clint Eastwood meets Beyonce match-up is happening for a remake of A Star is Born.

The unlikely duo won’t be starring opposite each other in the fourth restyling of A Star is Born, as Eastwood has signed on to give the diva a bit of direction. The legendary actor-director is locked in to direct the film with Beyonce acting as the film’s first confirmed leading star.

A Star is Born first came to the big screen in 1937 with Janet Gaynor carrying the film. It was remade two more times, once in 1954 with the legendary Judy Garland and again in 1976 with another superstar, Barbra Streisand.

While no leading man has been cast for the Clint Eastwood version, there are a few notable names being thrown around to play Beyonce’s costar including her own husband Jay-Z. Other popular Hollywood actors being buzzed about are Will Smith, P. Diddy, Eddie Murphy, Robert Downey Jr. and Jon Hamm. They have some time to decide as filming doesn’t begin until fall.

Who do you think would make the perfect costar for Beyonce in A Star is Born? We think RDJ might be an interesting choice. Tell us, we want to know.
