Kate Middleton has quit her job to concentrate on planning her royal wedding, confirms an aide to the princess-to-be.
With just a few months left before she weds Prince William, Kate Middleton has quit her job as a project manager at her parents’ party supply business to concentrate on her transformation from commoner to princess.
Middleton left her post to “concentrate full-time on preparing to become a member of the royal family,” an aide confirmed to the Daily Mail.
“She has handed over her work to colleagues and is now preparing for her future life.”
Such preparations include planning the wedding of the decade and lessons on royal protocol, like what to get your grandmother-in-law for Christmas when she has a tower full of jewels and remembering to put weights in the hems of your skirts so they don’t blow up around your face in front of photographers.
Kate Middleton — now to be called by her full name, Catherine, according to royal tradition — worked as a web designer and photographer for her parents’ million-dollar business and planned lots of parties, a skill that should prove helpful in upcoming months.
“Catherine is a naturally creative individual and has spent her professional life in the creative industries having worked at Jigsaw, then as a Web site designer, photographer, marketer and events organizer,” a friend told Hello. “Skills she has built up in her working life translate naturally to organizing a wedding.”
William and Kate will wed on April 29 at Westminster Abbey.
