Farrah Fawcett doesn’t need a grand gesture to be remembered as a legend but she certainly does deserve one. Fans may recall drooling over a poster of Farrah Fawcett donning a red swimsuit in 1976. The red swimsuit Fawcett wore on the 1976 poster that sold a million copies is being donated to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. Such a fitting way to honor the Charlie’s Angels icon!

Farrah Fawcett’s love Ryan O’Neal has decided to contribute the legendary red swimsuit and a few other items including first season scripts of the popular TV series Charlie’s Angels to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. Another fun and fitting item being donated is a 1977 Farrah Fawcett doll! All of the donated pieces of Farrah Fawcett’s history will be immortalized in the popular culture history collection.

Farrah Fawcett lost her battle with cancer in 2009 after publicly sharing her journey and fight with the disease. The beloved star was just 62 years old at the time of her death.
