Get ready, Britney fans! Britney Spears finally released the title and cover photo for her much-anticipated new album. Spears’ seventh studio album is titled Femme Fatale and features her number one hit single Hold It Against Me.
The album — scheduled for release on Mar. 15 — features work from well-known producers, including co-executive producers Dr. Luke, Max Martin and additional work from Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Fraser T. Smith and Bloodshy & Avant. Femme Fatale will also have both a standard and a deluxe release with additional tracks and additional liner notes.
“I’ve poured my heart and soul into this album over the last 2 years. I’ve put everything I have into it,” Spears tweeted Wednesday. “This album is for you, my fans, who have always supported me and have stuck by me every step of the way! I love you all!”
We can’t wait for the album’s release — but the video for Hold It Against Me will help tide us over until the release.
“Day 1 of the HIAM shoot with Jonas (Akerlund, who directed Lady Gaga’s Telephone). Such an incredible experience,” Spears tweeted on Saturday, January 22. “I think this will be one of the best videos I have ever done.”
The video is said to feature “a sexy, edgy dance piece directed by Jonas Akerlund and showing Britney at peak form and ability,” according to info released by Jive, Spears’ record label.
