Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon and her fiance Christine Marinoni welcomed a baby boy yesterday.
Cynthia Nixon and Christine Marinoni welcomed their first child together and are the proud parents of a baby boy. Marinoni gave birth to Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni on Monday, February 7.
“Christine and baby are doing great,” Nixon’s publicist told People.
Nixon, 44, has two children (Samantha, 14, and Charles, 8) from a previous relationship with photographer Danny Mozes. Nixon began dating Marinoni in 2004 and became engaged in 2009.
The couple announced their engagement at a rally in New York to support same-sex marriage. Nixon showed off her engagement ring and told the Daily News of her plans to get married in the Big Apple. “In an ideal world, we’d like to in New York, when it becomes legalized.”
Nixon, who won an Emmy for her role as Miranda in Sex and the City, told The Advocate that Marinoni gets along wonderfully with her children Samantha and Charles — and they sometimes even call her “Mommy.”
“Maybe I’m just lucky, but I feel like Christine is so amazing with our kids — because they’re our kids. I feel like falling in love with her is part of being amazed at how she makes our family so much better.”
