Fox took an unconventional route, debuting the trailer for the summer flick X-Men: First Class on the social networking site Facebook. Fans were given the trailer’s February 10 debut date via Facebook status updates, but the wait throughout the day was torture to many comic diehards — no matter, the wait is finally over.
X-Men: First Classwill chronicle the beginning of it all — the beginning of X-Men. It will take us back to who Professor X (Charles Xavier) and Magneto (Erik Lehnsherr) were before they took on their powerful mutant names and realized the true potential of their powers — before they became enemies. X-Men: First Class explores the events that brought them to the point of opposite sides of the battle.
The film, directed by Matthew Vaughn, boasts an all-star cast including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng and Oliver Platt, among others.
