Prince William and Kate Middleton have announced which lucky individuals will be standing up at their royal wedding on April 29. Did the couple keep their wedding party in the family? Read on to find out.
With just a few short months left until the April 29 wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, the plans are coming together. In fact, the couple just released details on their chosen wedding party.
For any couple getting married, the wedding party, especially the best man and maid of honor, can sometimes be the toughest decision to make. For Prince William and Kate Middleton, family was first in line for the royal honors. Prince Harry will stand up for William as the best man and Middleton’s sister, Philippa Middleton, will be maid of honor. Many will not be shocked by Prince William’s choice, as Prince Harry is his brother and the two have been through a great deal together.
The bridesmaids and ring bearers are not quite the household names. The couple did stick with family and friends of the family.
Included is Lady Louise Windsor, the seven-year-old first cousin of Prince William and young daughter of the Earl and Countess of Wessex. Also joining the couple at the altar will be Margarita Armstrong-Jones, the eight-year-old daughter of Viscount and Viscountess Linley, three-year-old Grace van Cutsem, three-year-old Eliza Lopes who is Camilla Parker-Bowles’ granddaughter, Billy Lowther Pinkerton and Prince William’s eight-year-old godson Tom Pettifer.
Now that the wedding party is set in place, we can’t help but wonder who will be on the royal guest list. So far we can rule out Michelle Obama who hasn’t been invited — yet. Michelle isn’t bothered by the snub. She recently told Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, “Marriage is a personal private thing, they should invite who they want to invite, and if I get invited, I’ll go.”
What are you most excited to hear about next? We can’t wait for more details on Kate Middleton’s wedding dress.
