Gabriel Aubry requests custody petition be dropped

Gabriel Aubry is requesting to drop his petition of custody for his and Halle Berry‘s daughter Nahla.

According to Access Hollywood, Gabriel Aubry is no longer petitioning for custody of his baby with Halle Berry, two-year-old Nahla. The official request to dismiss the custody petition was reportedly filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court on February 16. The request comes a day after Gabriel Aubry and Halle Berry took part in a closed hearing.

According toThe Hollywood Reporter, the custody battle had originally forced Halle Berry to drop out of the film New Year’s Eve, but it looks like she’ll now be rejoining Garry Marshall’s movie. A judge has reportedly allowed Berry to take little Nahla to New York where the movie will be filmed.

Gabriel Aubry and Halle Berry’s breakup was originally made public back in May of 2010 and Berry spoke of her ex months later in Vogue, revealing their willingness to remain close. “We were meant to bring this amazing little person into the world. And I think that’s why we came together. And because of that, we are going to be together forever,” she explained. “We are a family until we are not here anymore.”
