Russell Brand, Scarlett Johansson added to Oscar presenters list

The list of Oscar presenters has just gotten a bit longer. Are you getting excited for the Oscars on February 27? Well, you just got a few more celebrities to get excited about.

They may not be nominated, but four more beautiful faces have been added to the list of presenters for the 83rd Academy Awards this Sunday.

We will see Scarlett Johansson, comedian Russell Brand, Oscar nominee Josh Brolin and Oscar-winner Hilary Swank hit the stage and make awkward jokes about the awards.

Well, three of them anyway. You just know Russell is going to say something that isn’t on the teleprompter. He just joked on Twitter saying, “I am presenting an Oscar. I shall also choose the recipient — at last my work as Aldous Snow will be honoured, for best actor-ing.”

Is it just me or are you guys curious about why award-winning actors and actresses sound like a fifth grader forced to read aloud in class when they get up on stage for these things?

Now, I know they’re reading off a teleprompter and they’re nervous, but still, they’re famous actors. A bit of rehearsal would do wonders, people.

So what are you all doing for Oscar night? Parties? Dress up? Or are you ignoring the entire thing?

The 2011 Academy Awards will air Sunday, February 27 at 8 p.m. EST and 5 p.m. PST.
