Rebecca Black beats Justin Bieber on iTunes

Rebecca Black is giving Justin Bieber a run for his money on the iTunes Top 100 chart. The newest YouTube phenom has a new take on the age-old adage, “If you can’t beat em, join em.” Black beat out her YouTube predecessor this weekend, and now, as a member of Bieber Nation, she wants to do a duet with him.

Just last week, SheKnows reported on how young tween Rebecca Blackwas getting panned over her viral YouTube video, It’s Friday, Friday, Friday! The 13-year-old cutie is getting vicious hate comments on YouTube, while Yahoo called the track “the worst song ever.” In case you missed the video, check it out below.

Haters may not have changed their minds, but my, what a difference a weekend makes.

Black’s track It’s Friday, Friday, Friday! has taken the iTunes Top 100 chart by storm, peaking at 25. As of this morning, March 21, 2011, Biebs is back on top. Biebs’ Never Say Never (feat. Jaden Smith) is still ahead at 39, but at 45, Black is still beating out his track with LudacrisBaby, currently charting at 79.

Black’s position is still nothing to sneeze at, and needless to say, this turn of events is helping the young upstart stay positive, in spite of the slams. Black was on GMA this morning and used the open mic to her advantage, giving her crush a shout-out.

“I have Bieber Fever. Just thinking about it gives me butterflies,” Black said. “Justin, if you’re watching this right now, would you do a duet with me? That would be just unreal — that would make my life!”

Black has also taken her campaign to Twitter, with the message, “Please RT and help me get this message to @JustinBieber? Love you all!”

Bieber is a big tweetster and he’s posted already this morning, but hasn’t mentioned his latest fandemonium. If Bieber’s not up for that duet, however, someone else is interested in Black.

“I love her [and] the fact that she’s gotten so much publicity,” Simon Cowell told The Telegraph. “People are so upset about the song, but I think it’s hysterical. I want to meet her. Anyone who can create this much controversy within a week, I want to meet. I love people like that.”

SheKnows has one question for Black’s haters: Who’s laughing now?
