Summer is all about hot concert tours and this July, 2011, Soundgarden is getting back in on that action! After over a decade apart, Soungarden’s Matt Cameron, Chris Cornell, Ben Shepherd and Kim Thayil will hit the road together for a North American tour. Concert dates in Denver, Toronto, Philadelphia and Los Angeles have been announced so far, with more to come.

Soundgarden hasn’t shared the stage since they broke up in 1997, but Matt Cameron, Chris Cornell, Ben Shepherd and Kim Thayil are getting busy together again!
The big reunion came together thanks to a happy misunderstanding. A tweet from Cornell was supposed to announce the rebirth of the fan club, but instead got fans excited for a non-existent reunion. After seeing how thrilled fans were over the misunderstanding, however, the guys decided to make it happen.
Now, on the heels of releasing the Soundgarden retrospective, Telephantasm, and their first-ever live album, Live On I-5, word is the rockers are back in the studio writing and recording the first new Soundgarden studio album in over 15 years.
And today comes news of the Soundgarden summer tour, rolling through America July 2 through July 30, 2011. Four shows have been announced and more are coming!
The fan site pre-sale began at soundgardenworld.com today. To get in on that, you must be a registered fan-member. Regular sale tickets hit Ticketmaster on April 22 for the Denver show and on April 23 for Toronto, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
The base ticket price for all stops on the Soundgarden tour range from $119.00 to $147.00 per pair, plus additional venue and handling fees. Will you be there?
