Mark you calendars for the week of May 2 little monsters! Lady Gaga is premiering her Judas video on American Idol!
We’ve all heard Judas, now it’s time for the video. Lady Gaga is set to premiere her music video for Judas on American Idol.
The hot premiere is going down the week of May 2 — don’t worry, the announcement made via Interscope Records Twitter account promised more details soon.
In demand choreographer and Lady Gaga’s creative director, Laurieann Gibson, co-directed the video, which promises to be a powerful visual.
“It’s a phenomenal video: really powerful, really impactful,” Gibson explained. “She’s such a strong, committed artist. Her loyalty to me is something I will be forever grateful for. We’re spiritually connected.”
Laurieann Gibson added, “We need each other…and Judas is ultimately a representation of our true bond.”
Details reveal Lady Gaga will portray Mary Magdalene in the video with Norman Reedus at her side as Judas.
In terms of the religious theme, Gibson assured, “I will tell you now, first off, I’m Christian, and my career is evidence of God in my life. Most people are already thinking that about Gaga and blasphemy — they’re premeditating the approach. I think they’ll be very shocked to find out how huge and really groundbreaking the message is and how freeing the message is for all the right reasons. And it’s really going to shock the world.”
Lady Gaga took some time Easter Sunday to tweet her own thoughts on Judas: “Judas is about forgiveness and perseverance through struggle. Persevere today!”
