Pippa Middleton’s wedding planning makes nobles “shudder

Pippa Middleton, the younger sister of Kate Middleton, is trying to inject a more modern and young vibe into the post-wedding celebrations, however, the royal family feels like she is going overboard and turning things from tasteful to tacky!

As the younger sister of Kate Middleton, Pippa Middleton is the maid of honor for the royal wedding taking place this Friday. One of her duties is to oversee the post-wedding celebration and, as a professional event organizer for the top party planning company Table Talk, she is more than qualified — or is she?

Buckingham Palace staff is not pleased with 27-year-old Pippa’s determination to inject a younger vibe into the evening reception and post-wedding breakfast. The Daily Mail reports that “courtiers are said to have shuddered over her suggestion to erect glitter balls in the throne room where a post-wedding breakfast disco is going to be held. In the end, Pippa won the day.”

I like Pippa already!

She is also organizing a Friday evening party for 300 of William and Kate’s closest friends — and has even arranged for her boss at Table Talk, JoJo Browner, to help her work the party! Pippa and JoJo are reportedly at odds with Prince Charles over the catering for the party. Pippa and JoJo reportedly “wanted to use their own caterer, but then Prince Charles, who is funding the entertainment, stepped in and demanded they use his favorite, Mosimann’s.”

Could this be an early sign of trouble between the Middletons and the royal family? Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael, are not staying at Buckingham Palace, but at the nearby Goring Hotel in Belgravia where suites cost 1,140 pounds (or $1,884) per night.
