Tori Spelling has her own party planning show on Oxygen called sTORIbook Weddings, so it is only fitting that the pregnant star throws a party in honor of the royal wedding! Spelling shared with People all the details of her Royal Wedding Sleepover Party.
Royal wedding watch party decor
Because the wedding airs at 3 a.m. in California, Spelling decided to have a sleepover in which 10 of her friends come over at 1 a.m. for the fun. She is going to hang “tons of new and vintage Union Jack flags” and have blankets for everyone to cuddle with on the sofa.
PJ party attire
“When they arrive at my house, guests will be handed a pair of old-fashioned button-up cotton PJs in their size, slippers, and, of course, a now famous Kate Middleton mini-hat (all homemade by me, of course!) to change into for the royal viewing,” Spelling says. How fun!
English party menu
The menu will consist of “traditional English fare,” including tea sandwiches, scones, mini fish and chips, mini meat pies and a homemade berry trifle. Beverages will include Pimm’s cocktails, pints and mimosas.
The afterparty
After the wedding, Spelling’s husband Dean will get in on the fun. “After all is said and done, Dean will make a big traditional English breakfast for our guests of fried eggs, sausage, bacon, fried bread, black pudding and baked beans. And, of course, some strong English breakfast tea to start — ummm… end? — their day!” she says.
Parting gifts
Guests will leave with a parting gift consisting of a mini Mason jar (decorated with a Union Jack flag) filled with her homemade trifle and a mini wooden spoon included.
