No surprise: Lindsay Lohan supports judge’s ruling

Lindsay Lohan has released a statement regarding today’s court hearing in which she was sentenced for her probation violation and shoplifting offense.

No surprise here: Lindsay Lohan supports the light sentence she received in her probation violation and shoplifting cases.

In a statement released to the media, Lohan said, “I am glad to be able to put this past me and move on with my life and my career. I support the judge’s decision and hold myself accountable for being in this situation.”

“I have already started my community service at the Downtown Women’s Center and thank everyone there for their warm welcome.”

Lohan concluded, “I hope to be able to fulfill my obligation without any press attention. I think the media spotlight should be on issues such as homelessness and domestic violence instead of on me.”

Earlier today Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 480 hours of community service and 120 days in jail — of which she will probably only serve 14 days under house arrest. The judge and prosecutor insist she was not treated any differently than any other defendant in the same situation.

“Lindsay and I would both like to thank Judge Sautner and the L.A. City Attorney’s Office for their fair handling of this case,” attorney Shawn Chapman Holley told TMZ.
