Usher revealed that he’s getting ready for a special performance on Oprah. Is he one of the show’s secretive final guests?
We’ve been debating something for weeks: Who will be Oprah’s last guests on May 25? Various theories out there point to everyone from Stedman Graham and Gabrielle Giffords to Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith as possible contenders.
However, Usher might have let the secret out with a tweet.
“I’m getting ready for Oprah’s final show finale… you know I have trip up my sleeve, I can’t wait… URIV,” the singer tweeted Monday afternoon.
Interesting. Oprah’s May 23 and 24 shows will be taped at Chicago’s United Center, so an Usher performance during one of those shows would make sense. The arena holds 20,000 people — and Harpo staffers expect that all 20,000 tickets will be snapped up when the show starts taping Tuesday.
“This is (an) all-hands-on-deck endeavor,” Harpo spokesman Don Halcombe told the Chicago Tribune. Over 1,000 workers are on hand in the United Center to get the stage set in time. Whoa!
Word on the street is that the show will feature “some of the biggest names in music, movies and television” and that Oprah herself doesn’t know who’s appearing.
Confused? Yeah, so are we. All will be answered on May 25 when Oprah airs her finale. Until then, we’ll continue to debate and pull our hair out trying to figure it out.
