Danielle Staub puts on clothes, seeks psychological help

by

Danielle Staub says she’s seeking help for psychological issues that stem from her childhood. Do you believe her?

No more stripping for Danielle Staub. The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum told People that she canceled her newly-inked contract with Scores Gentleman’s Club in Manhattan and is instead seeking professional help.

“I have addictions with love and low self-esteem, and I need help!” Staub, 48, told People Wednesday.

“My low self-esteem derived from childhood sexual abuse has messed with my mind and self-worth, and over the years I thought about getting help but pushed it deep into the depths of denial,” she said. “For years I have had the suicide hotline on my cell phone and would like nothing more than to free myself from this constant pressure.”

Staub went on to reveal that she’s seeking help from — who else? — Dr. Drew Pinsky.

“Seeing how I have hurt myself and my family this time,” she continued, “I can no longer push it behind me.”

So, we won’t be seeing Staub strut her unmentionables on the web or stage any time soon.

“I have to own my mistakes and can’t blame others,” Staub continued.

Next item? She needs to get rid of her alleged boyfriend, Ray J. Something tells us he’s not the best boyfriend material when you’re going through a troubling time.

Then again, we do have a smidge of doubt — it is Danielle Staub after all. But, kudos to her if she’s really trying to tackle her personal problems head on.

Do you think Danielle Staub is serious about getting help?
