Katy Perry wants you to stop staring at her

Katy Perry has some eccentric demands written into her backstage concert rider for her upcoming tour. No carnations. And no staring.

Now that Katy Perry is about to embark on the U.S. portion of her California Dreams world tour, she’s issuing a series of wild demands through her backstage concert rider that must be followed in every city.

For starters, if you’re a chauffeur lucky enough to find yourself shuttling Perry wherever she needs to go, don’t look at her. Oh, and don’t talk to her either.

“The driver will not start a conversation w/ the client,” the 45-page document orders. “Do not stair [sic] at the backseat thru the rearvieuw [sic] mirrow [sic].”

As for Perry’s dressing room, flowers are good, but not just any flowers. “White and purple hydrangeas, pink & white roses and peonies” are acceptable, but there will be “absolutely no carnations.” The dressing room must be cream or pink, the refrigerator must have a glass door, and she has to have two cream-colored egg chairs, one with a footstool.

For dressing room food, Perry demands “organic grown fruit,” “dry roasted edamame, lightly salted,” “whole wheat pita bread,” a “jar of salsa” and “tow [sic] bags of Kettle Brand baked potato chips (sea salt & vinegar and BBQ).”

Miscellaneous items include a request for a “box of Huggies baby nature care wipes.”

As for after the show, Perry must stay in a five-star hotel. The entire posse requires a one-bedroom presidential suite for the pop star, five junior suites and 45 single rooms.

If Perry’s husband Russell Brand is coming along for the ride, it sounds like he’ll be in for a very comfortable time.
