Pink called out Selena Gomez for using painted horses in her new music video. Is there a feud brewing between the pop stars?
No one can accuse Pink of not speaking her mind. Now, her words have angered Selena Gomez’s fans. “If there are any animal activists around Malibu — at Leo Cabrillo State Beach, there are horses being painted for a stupid music video. Shame,” the pregnant singer tweeted Thursday.
“Artists should be more aware and responsible for their actions.”
The music video shoot was for Justin Bieber’s current gal pal. Pink figured out who it was after angry fans tweeted her.
“Oh lord, THAT’S whose video it was? Disney fans unite. Here we go,” Pink tweeted Friday afternoon.
“Whether u r a fan of mine or whomEVER’S [sic], i won’t stop speaking out about animal cruelty. i’ve taken responsibility in the past, so should she.”
But a rep for Gomez said that no nasty business happened.
“It was important to the Production Company, Record Label and Ms. Gomez that no animals were harmed and all proper precautions were taken,” Gomez’s rep told People. “A non toxic, vegetable based powder paint was applied via an airbrush and removed with water. An official from the Humane Society was on set supervising.”
Gomez knows firsthand how passionate fans can be — she dealt with a lot of threats when she first started dating Bieber. However, we think Pink can squash any insults that come her way, pregnant or not.
