Twitter has been abuzz all week with talk of Oprah’s final show. Amongst the oh-so-many claiming a tear in their eye was a speckling of humor — and perhaps jealousy?

Michael Ian Black: “I miss both Oprah and Osama. Is there a way to pair them up for something?”
Joan Rivers: “Oprah Winfrey is so powerful that she had the Rapture postponed until after her final show airs.”
John Hodgman: “It seems so unfair! Without Oprah, how are publishers going to continue their cross-fingers/hope-to-win-the-lottery business plan?”
Paula Poundstone: “Jesus will probably be the surprise guest. She got him started.”
Justin Stangel, co-executive producer of CBS’ Late Show: “What can I say about Oprah that she hasn’t already said about herself?”
David Letterman: “Honest to God, every day, I get out of bed and think: ‘What can I do to suck up to Oprah?'”
