Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are hitting the roads of Latin America to uncover the hidden talent they believe exists in local bars and festivals. Starting in July you’re invited to watch the happily wedded pair’s journey in Q’Viva! The Chosen.
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are jumping at the opportunity to scour Latin America for new talent in their upcoming show, Q’Viva! The Chosen. Rather than the traditional reality show hopefuls coming to them, the pair is hitting the road to ask local people to help them find the very best talent.
Marc, tour director Jamie King and Jennifer will travel to “places people wouldn’t normally look, where all of this rich talent lives and wouldn’t normally be discovered,” including clubs, bars, dance studios and festivals.
“With this show we hope for the first time to unite all of the Latin cultures and make something that makes everybody proud,” says American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez. “This is like me being able to really, really go, ‘I am Latina, and this is who we are! Isn’t it fabulous? Isn’t it amazing? Doesn’t it bring tears to your eyes and make you want to dance and smile and jump and stay up all night?'”
So just what kind of talent is Q’Viva! The Chosen on the hunt for? Marc Anthony explains, “It could be anything, as long as it transcends language and this person was just born to make you feel.”
Those chosen during the talent search will be brought back to Hollywood where they will be mentored by the stars to create “the ultimate live show.”
“It really is a show for the 21st century. It’s unprecedented in that it’s global and it’s local,” Jennifer says of Q’Viva! The Chosen. “We’re going to do our best [to] make the most amazing show that the world has ever seen.”
People reports Q’Viva! The Chosen will be filmed in three languages and broadcast simultaneously on leading TV networks across the Western Hemisphere. The search for the talent begins in July.
