Josh Lucas is getting ready to take on a big role in the NBC mid-season drama The Firm.
According to reports, Josh Lucas is close to finalizing a deal that will make him the star of NBC’s drama The Firm.
Josh Lucas is reportedly on deck to play Mitch, the role Tom Cruise made famous in the movie version that was based off of the John Grisham novel of the same name.
The TV version is set to take place 10 years after the film and novel, with Mitch leaving the Federal Witness Protection program and settling back into his family life. Of course, like any good TV show, the past comes back to haunt him and danger presents itself.
NBC has a total of 22 episodes ordered with The Firm set to air mid-season.
Josh Lucas has previously been seen in films such as Life as We Know It and The Lincoln Lawyer. Up next he’ll be on the big screen opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in J. Edgar.
Do you think Josh Lucas will make a good Mitch in The Firm?
Does anyone else think it would have been interesting to see Tom Cruise surprise everyone and step back into the role? Nah, he’s too busy with Rock of Ages and doting on adorable Suri Cruise.
